This operator computes the area for each polygon in the input Features.
The area of each applicable feature of the input Features is calculated and stored in a column of the output Features.
The value placed into each field will be the calculated value of the area in the horizontal units of the input Features CRS unless it is geographic in which case it will be in meters.
Specify the features whose primary geometry field will be used to compute the area.
Specify the attribute name for the computed area in FeaturesOut. A new double-precision floating point field will be added if it does not yet exist. If it already exists and is either a single- or double-precision floating point type, it will be updated with the computed values; otherwise, the operation will fail.
A new feature stream created by copying the input feature stream with the calculated area values stored in a new column of the attributes. The output units are in the square horizontal units of the CRS of the input Features unless the CRS is geographic in which case the output units is in meters squared.
Below is an example of how this operator can be used in a model intended to compute the area for input features.
